Tournament Rules.

1.     Every participant must be present for draft day unless arranged at least 24 hours in advance with tournament organizers.

2.

2.     If a participant does not make it to the draft, their spot may be offered to another participant on standby. If a standby participant chooses to take the available spot, a full refund may be offered. If there is no standby participant to fill the spot, no refund will be given.

3.     Each team will have 6 games plus playoffs.

4.     There will be no overtime or shootouts during regular games. Ties stand.

5.     During playoffs, ties will be broken by one 5-minute OT period and will if needed be immediately followed by a 3-round shootout.

Game Rules

1.     Four Skaters and one Goalie on the rink at any one time per team.

2.     Two 12-minute periods per game.

3.     Games are run using stop clock.

4.     Players are limited to 3 goals each for any one game.

5.     Offsides will only be assessed to passing instances, not carry over instances.

6.     Penalties assessed will be enforced via penalty shot. The penalty differential between teams will determine which team will be given how many penalty shots.

*For example, by the end of the game, Team A has been assessed 3 penalties and Team B has been assessed 1 penalty. Team A had 2 more penalties than Team B and so Team B will receive 2 penalty shots.

**If the penalty differential will not make a difference in the outcome of the game, neither team will receive penalty shots. For example, if the final score is Team A-1 to Team B-4, and Team B would be receiving 2 penalty shots, these shots wouldn’t change the outcome of the game and therefore will be forfeited.

 7.     Any player who receives 3 contact type penalties in a game will be suspended for the remainder of that game and may resume play in the next game.

8.     Any player to be removed from 2 games due to penalty suspensions may be disqualified from the remainder of the tournament at the discretion of the referee(s) and/or tournament organizers.

9.     Players involved in fights of any kind will be disqualified for the remainder of the tournament and will forfeit any potential prize. No refunds of registration fees will be issued to any players removed for fighting.
